DRESSING FOR THE SEASONS
Hi everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!
I wanted to write a breastfeeding friendly style piece on trans-seasonal fashion. I live in Australia and the weather is really cooling down here, but I know a lot of you are about to enter the warmer months! In this piece I have styled three dresses from the gorgeous Plum Pretty Sugar for a summers night out and for a cooler day using some staple items from my wardrobe. I hope you enjoy!
In this first look I have styled this maxi playsuit with a bold dark lip, some suede mules, bold boho jewellery and a waist belt. I feel that the lip makes this look dressier and the belt gives the garment a better shape. The mule is a comfy shoe that would be suitable for both casual and dressy occasions and the jewellery completes the look.
In this winter look I've removed the belt and added a hat, boots and denim jacket. I kept the bold lip as I love dark lipstick in winter. This look is a lot more casual and really playful!
I adore this yellow dress... I was immediately drawn to the colours and the print. I've kept the styling for this look really simple adding a high gold sandal, brown lip, aviators and pearl choker. The heel lengthens the leg and compliments the tones in the accessories. The lip seems to help the colours pop and makes the look a little more dressy.
I've done something a little different with this look. Using knitwear and some boots I've made this a casual layered winter outfit. I'm really loving the mix of colours here and I'm a huge fan of using knitwear to strip back dressier items.
This playsuit is extremely bold in colour and print, so I've kept both of these looks very simple. For this more dressy look I've added some sunglasses, a bold lip and silver mules. I'm a huge fan of mules at the moment and feel as though they are particularly flattering on shorter girls like myself.
In this look I've added my absolute favourite item, a leather jacket! I initially styled this with boots, but opted for a pointed black flat as I felt they made the outfit really cool and relaxed, a real "throw on!".
As mentioned above, all floral pieces are available from Plum Pretty Sugar.
Thank you for reading! Let me know if there are any other style pieces you'd like me to share.
